While racial tensions in the US escalated, extensive research was done to better understand how some racist mascots were successfully changed. It's quickly discovered that our country has a pervasive number of racist public school names, mascots, roads, parks, and much more. The AntiRacistUSA.org domain name was registered to develop a website and address these changes on a nationwide effort.

"WMHS Rebel Mascot Change" Facebook page
Following the Charleston church shooting, AntiRacistUSA.org Founder and other West Monroe High School alumni create the "WMHS Rebel Mascot Change" Facebook page. This is covered on local TV news channels and in local newspapers. Some WMHS policies were changed, but as always, just enough to appear sincere but still keeping the rebel mascot.
