Named For: Robert E. Lee

Was named Ulysses S. Grant Elementary School, after the U.S.’s 18th president and the general who led the Union Army, but in 1955 when a new school was built, the district decided to name it Robert E. Lee in favor of those who had migrated from the South and in remembrance of the Missouri Compromise.
